Food Cardiff and Food Vale have launched a new guide for Sustainable Food Procurement in the public sector. The guide is aiming to help public bodies make significant strides towards a more sustainable and healthy food system in support of Wales’ Move More Eat Well plan.

Food Cardiff is supporting a pilot to develop new local agroecological supply chains into schools – specifically focusing on veg.
An ethos of sourcing locally, championing seasonality, and eradicating food waste has seen The Pasture Restaurant group secure a 3* ‘Food Made Good’ Rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) – making them the first independently owned restaurant in Wales to achieve the respected accreditation.

The Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival returns for its fourth year with a city-wide programme of food events this month which showcase the city’s good food movement.
Carol Adams is the Director of Food Adventure Social Enterprise Limited, and the founder of Back To Our Roots; a project which teaches people in Wales how to grow vegetables such as okra and callaloo.
