Guest Post: Orchard Cardiff is gearing up to a new season

Orchard Cardiff is a not-for-profit community group based in Cardiff which helps people harvest, share and enjoy locally grown fruit. If you have a tree in your garden with surplus fruit that would benefit from sharing with local food projects, get in touch and we can arrange a harvest. And likewise, if you fancy joining us for a harvest – one off or regularly – get in touch, we’re a friendly bunch!

Orchard Cardiff also offers Time Credits to volunteers – these are great for a free day out in selected Cadw or National Trust properties, or a show at the Sherman Theatre and Chapter and elsewhere.

In September, we’re also running two events as part of the Good Food Cardiff Festival – come and say hi at our stall in the Good Food Cardiff Zone during the Amgeuddfa Cymru Food Festival at St Fagans (8th Sept, including a creative fruit-inspired poetry storytelling workshop with Sarah Featherstone, 15:15 – 16:15) or join us to celebrate Apple Day on 28th September at Global Gardens.
