A Right to Food? Beyond Foodbanks?

“The explosion of food poverty and the huge numbers being forced to turn to food banks undermines the UK’s commitment to ensuring that all its citizens have access to food” – this is the basis of the event being held next March at Cardiff University.

A growing list of organisations including Church Action on Poverty, Oxfam, the Sustainable Food Cities Network and the Fabian Commission on Food and Poverty have all called for stronger and more coordinated government action to reduce food poverty.

The event is one of a series exploring the potential of bringing a broad range of groups together to build a more powerful national campaign, to end food poverty and hunger in 2016.

The event is 5.30pm on Tuesday 15 March 2016 in the Glamorgan Building, University of Cardiff.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m not sure I follow; is there something we can help you with?
